My two children have been having private lessons with The Drama Circle for the past two years. They have also participated in several holiday theatre weeks and the youth theatre group. My son, 12 is autistic. He has thrived since he joined the Drama Circle, not only in confidence, but also in terms of his social and independence skills. He has made friends (no easy task for him) and enjoys the time he spends with other students in such a friendly and safe environment. His autism means emotions and feelings are often a mystery to him, but we have noticed a huge difference in his understanding of emotions and empathy since he began drama. He has also been able to gain distinctions in LAMDA exams and take part in Blackburn Speech and Drama Festival. My daughter has had considerable speech difficulties which affected her self confidence badly. Under the watchful eye of Claire Haymes she has blossomed into a confident young girl who is happy to perform. Both my children genuinely love all the time they spend at The Drama Circle activities. Every child’s ideas are valued and everyone is included equally. I cannot recommend The Drama Circle highly enough.’

‘My daughter attends a drama club taught by Claire and also has private Speech and Drama lessons. We have found Claire to be enthusiastic, encouraging and professional in all aspects of her work and have recommended The Drama Circle to several friends.’
Pamela Whittle,  Parent of Pupil

‘I love having drama lessons with The Drama Circle. Claire teaches me and is a brilliant drama teacher and I feel I have improved dramatically since I came for lessons with her. She has great ideas about scenes for monologues and knows a great deal about the art. Claire is a lovely, friendly person and I look forward to my lesson with her every week.’
Jade Jones, Pupil

‘Claire from The Drama Circle is our resident teacher for D. J Theatre Productions’ Youth Theatre and is fabulous with the children, many of whom have now joined The Drama Circle privately benefiting from individual drama tuition. Claire is also a talented actress and played the role of Curley’s Wife in our production of ‘Of Mice and Men’. We would have no hesitation in recommending Claire as she is a wonderful teacher with the ability to develop each child to their full potential.’
Susan Jones and Chantelle Leyland-Dewhurst, Directors of D. J Theatre Productions; an affiliated production company with The Drama Circle

‘I was first introduced to Claire from the Drama Circle when she taught my daughter in an after school club. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed these lessons and wanted to start regular classes. Since then she has attained distinctions in a number of the LAMDA examinations and has grown in confidence. I believe this is due to Clare’s professional and personal approach. I would certainly recommend The Drama Circle to anyone.’
Jackie O’Connor, Parent of Pupil

‘I would highly recommend the professional approach adopted by The Drama Circle. My Daughter started sessions with the Drama Circle when she was 4 and she thoroughly enjoys every minute. She attends Group Drama on Monday evenings and loves the group sessions and interactions with others. My Daughter has also attended the Theatre weeks which take place during school holidays, she has gained so much experience in singing, stage make up, stage combat and acting and she would probably attend these weeks for the whole year if she could. My Daughter has gained confidence by attending the Drama Circle, and made a lot of new friends. The Drama Circle staff are extremely professional and also make the sessions enjoyable which helps with learning lines.’
